The background is removed and the box follows your subject's outline: a face-down colour front cover with a lip that follows the outline, and a matching back box with keyholes and a cable hole where they fit.

What works best
- One connected subject (pet, person, object) on a plain background
- Higher resolution gives a smoother outline
- Group shots and busy scenes give an odd outline; only the largest subject is used
What we do to your image
- Background removed automatically; the largest subject is kept and gaps inside its outline are filled
- The outline is smoothed to remove pixel steps
- Rotated upright using the photo's orientation tag
- Colours mapped to our 10 stocked PLA filaments (max 8 per item)
At least 400 px on the longest side, 1000 px or more recommended.
Options
The preview updates a moment after you stop changing things.
Height follows the subject; tall subjects are reduced to fit the printer
Frame, lip and box colour
Fills any small gaps in the colour panel (always backed in white so it glows)
Automatic keeps faces as photo shading and turns logos and art into bold solid colours.
Limits for this product
- Max 8 colours including the frame and backing
- The front panel is 0.8 mm thick so the light shows the colours
- Large sizes are reduced automatically to fit our printer with its colour-change tower (you will see the final size)
- Narrow outlines may have one keyhole or none, and no room for a cable hole
